CheckMine — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 9, 2026
CheckMine (“the app”) is an independently developed game. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
1. Information we collect
- No account is required — the game is fully playable without signing in.
- Optional Google sign-in: you may sign in with your Google account to personalize your profile and to sync your progress. If you do, the app receives your basic Google profile information (display name and email address).
- Cloud sync (only if you sign in): when you are signed in, your game progress — coins, experience, achievements, unlocked items and purchases — is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, in the European Union) under an identifier tied to your Google account, so it can be restored on a new device. It is readable only by you: security rules restrict every record to its own signed-in owner. Your in-progress matches are not uploaded. You can delete this cloud data at any time from Settings → Cloud sync → Delete cloud data, or by the request route on our account & data deletion page.
- If you do not sign in, nothing leaves your device: game progress (coins, XP, achievements, settings) is stored locally only, and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
- Analytics: we use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage events (such as matches played and features used), device model, OS version, and a resettable app-instance identifier. This helps us improve the game.
- Crash reports: Google Firebase Crashlytics automatically collects crash logs and device state when the app crashes.
- Advertising: the app shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to serve and measure ads. You can reset or limit the advertising ID in your device settings.
2. How we use information
Collected data is used only to operate, improve, and support the game and to show ads. We do not sell your data.
3. Third-party services
Google Firebase and AdMob process data under Google's privacy policy. See also AdMob partners.
4. Children
The app is a chess/puzzle game suitable for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
5. Data retention and deletion
Local game data is deleted when you uninstall the app. Analytics data is retained by Firebase under its default retention policy. To request deletion of analytics data linked to your app instance, contact us.
Cloud-synced progress is kept only while you are signed in and have not deleted it. You can remove it yourself at any time — in the app, Settings → Cloud sync → Delete cloud data erases the record immediately, and your progress on the device is kept. Full instructions, including how to request deletion without reinstalling the app, are on the account & data deletion page.
